LOVELY LIVVY - LOVELY LIVVY 
LOVELY LIVVY with a light fragrance. This magnificent iris is named after the late great Olivia Newton-John. Olivia was not only a very talented celebrity, but also a great person. Although I've never met her, I've certainly followed her career and life. Always kind, helpful and loving, she never pretended to be a celebrity, taking the time to express her appreciation to everyone who met her. She courageously fought breast cancer without leaving the remission stage for 20 years. She never complained and always looked at things from the positive side. She devoted the last years of her life to finding a cure for cancer. She founded the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center in Melbourne, Australia, the country she called home. Here she tirelessly raised money to support cancer research using herbal treatments. "Beautiful Livvy" is an affectionate nickname that the media has used to describe Olivia throughout her life. The iris, which we chose in honor of its species, got its name by itself. Firstly, it is pink, symbolizing breast cancer awareness. On top of that, I planted a cross in the garden of Barry and Leslie Blythe (using two Barry seedlings), who live just a few miles from where Olivia grew up. Lovely Livvy is an extraordinary and unique creation in a color combination that has not yet been seen in iris. The white shades are colored in a delicate pink color. The waterfall is a richer pink shade with a gorgeous white frilled border. Olivia, with her kind and generous heart, inspired me to contribute, so I donated a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each plant in 2023 to her cancer research center in Australia.
