Rogue Trader — a tall bearded iris bred by Australian master Barry Blyth, registered in 2007. With a stem height of 89 cm, this late-mid season variety presents a confident variegated bi-tone that attracts attention from a great distance.

The color scheme is an exemplary study in contrast. The standards open in a creamy lemon tone with a thin border of a more насыщенно lemon hue, the falls explode in deep wine-burgundy with the same lemon border and a barely noticeable creamy central stripe under the beard. A bright mustard-yellow beard fixes the center of the composition, and a sweet aroma accompanies the flowering. A pure lemon-burgundy palette is one of Blyth's most graphic combinations.

Rogue Trader blooms in late-mid season. In central Russia, flowering occurs in late May and early June. Use the variety as a strong color accent among lighter varieties: it effectively combines with creamy, golden-yellow, dark purple and pure white partners, emphasizing its bi-tone structure. Plant in sun, in drained soil.
