Iris 'Bratislavan Prince' is a tall bearded variety of Slovak selection, bred by the famous European hybridizer Anton Mego and registered in 2009. In 2014, the variety received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society, confirming its high decorative level.

The flower is built on a royal contrast of soft and deep: the standards (upper petals) are a light orchid-lavender tone adorned with a wide creamy-brown border; silver-lavender stylodia repeat this cream edge. The wavy falls (lower petals) are a rich velvety blue-violet color, with thin white strokes along the edge and a small white spot with purple-brown shading near the beard itself. Brick-carrot beards add a lively spark to the heart of the flower.

With a height of about 78 cm, the variety blooms in mid-to-late terms — in central Russia, this is the end of May and the first ten days of June. Bratislavan Prince looks great in the middle plan of a mixborder in the company of манжетка, white phloxes and geraniums. Plant in sun, in drained soil.
