The tall bearded iris Honourable Lord is the work of the выдающийся Australian breeder Barry Blyth, registered in 2009. The variety has a mid-late flowering period with a light musky aroma and continues the master's signature line of contrasting two-color compositions, so beloved by collectors around the world for their dramatic expressiveness.

The standards rise in a delicate light lavender-blue tone, forming a luminous frame for the lower petals. The falls are colored in a rich purple, deepening to violet-black, slightly lightening under the beard, where a small white "splash" pattern sparkles. Next to this area, a bright tangerine orange beard blazes, giving the flower's core the effect of an inner flame and a regal, noble appearance in the garden.

In central Russia, Honourable Lord blooms in late May — early June and is used as an accent plant in mixborders. The variety effectively combines with white daisies-marguerites, silver speedwells and dark violet salvias, enhancing the contrast of cool standards and dark falls.
