Iris 'Devoted' is a variety of Standard Dwarf Bearded Irises (SDB) bred by American hybridizer Paul Black and registered in 2005. The plant is compact, about 33 cm tall. One of the most titled dwarf varieties of its generation: Honorable Mention 2007 and Award of Merit 2009. Flowering is late average for SDB.

The upper petals are medium purple, forming a smooth, calmly saturated upper part of the flower. The lower petals are effectively contrasting — a deep wine-red tone, edged with a medium purple border that connects the falls with the standards into a single color whole. Short white rays spread out on both sides of the beard, highlighting the throat and forming a graphic compositional center that is readable even at a small flower size. The tuft looks neat, the flower stalks are strong and uniform.

In central Russia, the variety blooms in mid-to-late May. Thanks to its compactness and rich color, it is perfect for the foreground of a mixborder, rockeries and collections of dwarf irises in combination with low sedums, saxifrages, ornamental onions and Aubrieta. Prefers sunny sites, drained neutral soil and standard care for SDB.
