Iris 'Glowgirl' is an intermedia (IB) by Australian breeder Barry Blyth, introduced in 2012. With a height of 51 cm, the variety occupies a convenient niche between dwarf and tall bearded irises, and its mid-to-late flowering period bridges the gap from early SDB to the main TB wave.

The standards demonstrate a charming pink tone overlaid on an oyster-cream base, giving the upper petals a soft pearl glow. The falls provide an expressive contrast: a rich burgundy color is framed by a border about 1/4 inch wide of the same pink-oyster shade as the standards, creating a refined two-tone effect. The harmonious palette is both warm and изысканный.

In central Russia, flowering occurs in mid to late May, neatly filling the gap between SDB and TB. The medium-height of 51 cm is ideal for the middle tier of a mixborder: the pink-burgundy combination effectively соседствует with silver sage, chistets and pure white catnip. Plant in a sunny, drained area, leaving the rhizomes near the surface.
