Description
Iris BAD INTENTIONS is an SDB class variety, 21-40 cm high, Black hybridizer, registered in 2009. Buy rhizomes with delivery across Russia at the IRISSAD nursery.«Bad Intentions» — dwarf bearded iris (SDB) of American breeding by Paul Black, registered in 2009. The variety was obtained from the crossbreeding of Hoodlum × Sweet Baby and in 2011 was awarded the Honorable Mention by the American Iris Society. The height of the bush is about 33 cm.
The main feature of the variety is its rich dark color: a deep red-black tone densely covers both the standards (upper petals) and the falls (lower petals). In the sun, the flower отливает polished mahogany, in cloudy weather it reads as dark velvet — thanks to this, «Bad Intentions» is especially expressive against the background of light-flowered dwarf irises. The flower is neat, harmoniously возвышается above the foliage.
For dwarf bearded irises, flowering «mid-late» in the middle zone occurs in the second half of May. The variety works effectively in the first row of the flower garden and in rock gardens. Plant it next to yellow, cream, peach or light blue dwarf irises — the almost black tone will enhance the sound of the neighbors. Ideal in groups of 3–5 rhizomes in a sunny place with neutral, well-drained soil.
